Bc Occupational Safety Officer Role Cranbrook

Make an impact in workplace health and safety as an Occupational Safety Officer in British Columbia. You will work closely with employers and workers to cultivate safer environments. This position requires at least four years of hands‑on experience in industries such as Oil & Gas, Trades & Utilities, or Forestry. As part of our agile team, you will conduct thorough inspections, enforce compliance, and educate others on safety protocols.
Your role will significantly contribute to reducing workplace risks.
Key Responsibilities Inspect work locations for safety compliance
Educate workers on health and safety matters
Enforce regulations through written orders
Partner with industries to ensure safety measures
Address hazards and implement effective controls
Requirements At least 4 years of relevant experience
Certification in Occupational Health and Safety
Exceptional communication skills
Proven ability to make timely decisions
Flexibility to travel and handle emergencies
