Join the Cranbrook Mental Health Substance Use Unit as a full time Mental Health and Substance Use Clinician. Engage directly with youth, applying crisis intervention skills and group facilitation techniques.
In this position, you will be part of the Youth Intensive Case Management team, delivering specialized services to adolescents facing mental health and substance use issues. Your role will involve coordinating care, utilizing evidence-based treatment, and working collaboratively with partners in the community to offer comprehensive support to high-risk youth. This integrated approach will help ensure that clients access the services they need effectively.
Key Responsibilities: Assess and manage complex youth cases effectively
Provide crisis intervention strategies and suicide assessments
Lead groups using Motivational Interviewing methods
Coordinate with community partners for holistic support
Address urgent client needs through teamwork
Requirements: Master’s degree in an applicable field from an accredited institution
Two years of recent experience in mental health and substance use
Current valid BC Driver’s License (Class 5)
Robust background in adolescent development and intervention
Proficient in group facilitation and intervention techniques
