Russell Tobin's client, an American ground passenger transportation company, is hiring an IT Support Specialist in Montreal, QC, and Longueuil, QC.

Pay range: $38/hr - $40/hr W2

Job Description

We are searching for an experienced IT Support Specialist to support our Montreal and Longueuil offices. The role involves hands‑on troubleshooting of Apple and Windows hardware and software, audio‑visual setup and support for internal meetings, deployment of laptops and desktops using MDM tools, administration of identity and productivity services, and management of tickets and inventory. The specialist will deliver high‑quality, white‑glove support, collaborate across distributed teams, and maintain a positive team culture.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on Apple and Windows devices, including desktops and laptops.
• Assist with audiovisual (AV) setup for internal meetings and events.
• Support employees using AV systems onsite and remotely (Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Chrome device management, projectors, and audio/video conferencing).
• Image and deploy laptops and desktops using MDM tools such as JAMF, NinjaOne, and AirWatch.
• Administer Okta, Google Workspace, and other identity and productivity services.
• Deploy and support software for end users.
• Respond to IT support requests in person and through the ticketing system.
• Manage hardware and software inventory.
• Collaborate with escalation teams to improve the end‑user experience.
• Maintain and enhance internal and user‑facing knowledge base documentation.

Requirements

• Fluent in both French and English.
• Positive, service‑oriented attitude with a customer‑focused mindset.
• 2–3+ years of experience in IT support roles.
• Basic to intermediate networking knowledge (servers, switches, wireless).
• Experience providing AV support.
• Experience administering Apple devices with enterprise management tools.
• Hands‑on experience supporting and managing Windows laptops and desktops.
• Experience using ticket‑based enterprise workflow systems (ITIL Service Desk platforms, Confluence).
• Strong macOS hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to lift and move equipment weighing 50+ pounds as needed.
