Role Overview

We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Lead to join a small but impactful People & Culture team. As the sole TA function, you will own the end‑to‑end recruiting process, shape the hiring strategy, and build a world‑class hiring engine for Engineering, Product and other technical and non‑technical roles.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic partnership: Collaborate directly with the VP of People & Culture and hiring managers to develop and refine the hiring strategy.
• Full‑cycle recruitment: Manage the entire sourcing, selection, interview, offer and onboarding pipeline for technical and non‑technical positions.
• ATS optimisation: Lead the strategy to optimise the Workable system, create interview guides, and deliver hiring manager training.
• Talent acquisition: Proactively source and engage exceptional candidates for high‑impact roles.
• Candidate experience: Design a transparent and supportive experience that delivers a positive journey for every candidate.
• Recruitment technology: Experiment with and implement modern tools, including AI, to automate repetitive tasks while preserving a human touch.
• Data & metrics: Own the recruiting dashboard, turning data into actionable insights that tell a clear story of pipeline health.
• Process optimisation: Build and continuously improve recruiting processes, ensuring efficiency and quality.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full‑cycle recruiting experience in a high‑growth, fast‑paced environment, with a strong focus on technical roles.
• Experience leading an in‑house recruiting function is a bonus.
• Technical mindset: Deep understanding of tech stacks, frameworks, and the nuances between them.
• Market investigator: Curious, constantly researching talent pools and emerging trends.
• Human‑centred technologist: Passionate about leveraging AI to automate routine tasks, freeing time for relationship building.
• Adaptable: Seamlessly transition between recruiting for Staff Engineers and creating recruiting dashboards.
• Process‑oriented and relationship‑builder: Excels in creating genuine connections with candidates and hiring managers.
• Effective communicator: Influences leaders with clarity, precision, and data‑driven insights.

Benefits and Compensation

• Base salary range: $110,000 – $140,000 CAD, adjusted with performance bonus and role‑related qualifications.
