Procurement Specialist in Naval Defense Program

Be a key player in Canada's defense landscape as a Procurement Specialist for the River Class Destroyer program. Utilize your procurement skills to manage complex systems and strategically drive project success. This role requires expertise in the full lifecycle procurement process, working closely with internal and external stakeholders. You'll be responsible for developing sourcing strategies through in-depth analysis, ensuring timely project deliverables while enhancing supplier relationships across the board. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive market research for strategic sourcing
- Engage with stakeholders to guide procurement functions
- Oversee the supplier lifecycle, from onboarding to evaluation
- Lead contract negotiations and manage purchase orders
- Ensure compliance through performance monitoring
- 7+ years of procurement experience required
- Proven expertise in contract management and sourcing
- Strong analytical and detail-oriented skills
- Excellent stakeholder management capabilities
- Preferred post-secondary education in relevant fields
