MBSE Engineer for Naval Combat Systems

Weir Canada seeks an MBSE Project Requirements Traceability Engineer to support the Royal Canadian Navy in Halifax, NS. Use your system engineering and data modeling skills in a hybrid role, enhancing national defense projects. This permanent full-time role emphasizes your ability in requirements management and independent verification services. You will participate in Model Based Systems Engineering for the River Class Destroyer while maintaining vital connections with stakeholders and team members. Your role is critical in ensuring project compliance and success. Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and improve Requirements Management processes
- Conduct system architecture modeling and data analysis
- Review critical technical documentation for accuracy
- Foster strong collaborative relationships within project teams
- Advocate for zero harm safety practices in engineering
- Eligibility for Government of Canada security clearance
- Degree in Computer Science or Engineering required
- Proficiency in English necessary for all communication
- Familiarity with IBM Rational DOORS desired
- Knowledge of MBSE tools such as SysML a plus
