Electrical Engineer for Canadian Army Vessels
Irving Shipbuilding
Become an Electrical Engineer with Irving Shipbuilding and influence the next wave of naval vessels. Contribute to projects for the Royal Canadian Navy while gaining hands-on experience in shipbuilding. This role involves collaborating within multidisciplinary teams to support shipbuilding projects like the Arctic and Offshore Patrol Ships. You will be responsible for developing electrical designs and reviewing documentation to ensure compliance with standards. Effective communication with various stakeholders will be essential in your duties. Key Responsibilities:
- Support electrical aspects of major shipbuilding programs
- Collaborate on engineering designs and technical documentation
- Review compliance with project regulations and rules
- Contribute to the testing and commissioning procedures
- Assist in procurement of electrical equipment
- B.Eng. in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 4–10 years of engineering experience
- Working knowledge of integrated electrical systems
- Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills
- Must meet Canadian Controlled Goods Program regulations
