The Line
Pursue in-depth investigative journalism with Build Canada's Fellowship, focusing on critical infrastructure and government spending issues across Canada. Develop insightful pieces with editorial support in a virtual setting. This one-year fellowship seeks an experienced journalist with a strong track record of published investigative work. Your tasks will cover diverse formats, including features, analyses, and interviews. You'll engage with complex topics like policy, economics, and engineering to deliver compelling narratives. Key Responsibilities:
• Produce investigative pieces on infrastructure and innovation gaps
• Analyze federal spending and its impact on Canadian growth
• Conduct interviews and gather sources for informed storytelling
• Explore multimedia formats to enrich editorial offerings
• Collaborate with editorial teams for feedback and refinement Requirements:
• Minimum five years of journalism experience
• Proven investigative work demonstrating depth and range
• Familiarity with The Line’s editorial voice and Build Canada’s mandate
• Ability to handle complex topics effectively
