Analyst, Corporate Derivatives Salesperson, Corporate Solutions Group, Toronto

Corporate Solutions Group has a multiproduct sales mandate that seeks to originate corporate finance and derivatives based risk management solutions for Corporate clients across North America. Our business is centered around the Rates business suite of Interest Rate products while seeking to originate a broader set of transactions across multiple Global Markets product desks.

Responsibilities:

• Financial modelling for derivatives transactions
• Develop and maintain industry and company specific knowledge and stay up-to-date on market developments
• Provide support for Senior Marketers
• Preparation of customized marketing presentations
• Trade pricing and execution
• Will help team service clients transacting derivatives to hedge financial risk exposures
• Aid in achieving specified goals in both market and wallet share for the identified client franchise
• Originate and execute meaningful and landmark transactions
• Individuals at this level work to quickly develop their knowledge of the business (e.g., products and services), marketplace, and clients
• Partner closely with other key businesses and functions to ensure proper product deployment based on understanding of client
• Help foster an environment of collaboration through interfacing with appropriate internal partners to enhance share of mind with clients
• Understand and analyze clients' businesses and exposures to provide best suited solutions in full coordination with all relevant business partners
• Facilitate optimal discussions with clients with guidance from team leaders or Desk Head
• Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure
• Build a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline and ethics
• Be familiar with and adhere to Citi's Code of Conduct and the Plan of Supervision for Markets.

• Liquidity and Structured Credit Solutions
• Market trend analysis
• Tax and accounting considerations
• Cross border financing solutions.

Qualifications:

• Relevant graduate or undergraduate degree (Finance, Business Administration, Math) or at least 2 years of related experience in the capital markets industry
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Understanding of modern Interest Rate Derivatives toolkits, including CVA is considered an asset
• Ability to originate across a broad suite of Markets transactions relevant to Corporate clients
• Derivatives knowledge
• Strong quantitative modelling skills
• Proven ability to execute, design and problem solve in a fast paced and dynamic environment
• Knowledge of derivatives accounting, ISDAs, legal, capital rules, as well as credit approval processes are considered assets
• Successful completion of a CFA, LLB or CA is a plus
• Ability to judge and balance risk and rewards in transactions.

Education:

• Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience.
