Senior Business Analyst - Client Engagement & Derivatives Migration

The Client

Our client is a leading financial institution undergoing a significant transformation initiative within its capital markets and investment operations environment. They are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support the migration of derivative trade instruction and reporting processes to a new operating model while ensuring a seamless experience for institutional clients and investment managers.

What you will achieve in this role

• Lead client-facing discussions regarding migration activities, timelines, impacts, testing requirements, and implementation plans.
• Serve as a key liaison between clients, investment managers, business stakeholders, operations teams, and technology partners throughout the migration lifecycle.
• Support a large-scale derivatives transformation initiative by gathering requirements, documenting processes, tracking risks, and managing stakeholder communications.
• Coordinate testing activities, including trade file validation, test scenario execution, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support.
• Develop client transition materials, user guides, FAQs, and communication packages to facilitate adoption of new processes.
• Monitor project milestones, maintain action logs and status trackers, and support overall project governance activities.
• Assist with training, readiness planning, and post-implementation support to ensure successful client onboarding and transition.
• Collaborate across business, operations, technology, and project teams to drive successful delivery of migration objectives.

What you must bring to this role

• 10+ years of Business Analysis experience within Capital Markets, Financial Services, Investment Operations, Custody Services, or Institutional Banking environments.
• Proven experience supporting large-scale transformation, platform migration, or operating model change initiatives.
• Hands-on experience working on system-to-system migration projects.
• Strong knowledge of Exchange-Traded Derivatives (ETD) and Over-The-Counter (OTC) derivative products and associated operational workflows.
• Demonstrated success working directly with institutional clients, investment managers, and senior stakeholders in highly client-facing environments.
• Experience coordinating testing, training, change management, and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Strong business analysis, facilitation, presentation, communication, and relationship management skills.
• Ability to effectively collaborate across business, operations, technology, testing, and project management teams.
• PMP, CBAP, or related Business Analysis/Project Management certification.
• Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset.
• Knowledge of trade processing, trade instruction management, and client reporting workflows is preferred.
