Corporate Legal Counsel at Monex (Toronto)

Become a Corporate Legal Counsel with Monex, providing legal guidance in a fast‑paced financial environment. Engage with international projects while supporting legal compliance. As a member of Monex Canada Inc., you’ll work closely with the Global General Counsel to offer legal advice on a variety of regulatory subjects. Your role will encompass drafting and reviewing contracts, overseeing compliance with financial laws, and advising on corporate governance matters. In addition, you will engage in litigation support and enhance operational efficiency within the legal team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice on regulatory and compliance issues
- Draft and negotiate client and vendor contracts
- Manage legal research and litigation preparation
- Support corporate governance and record maintenance
- Develop standard legal processes for the department
Requirements:
- Canadian law degree (LLB or JD) and practice authorization
- Knowledge of contract law and compliance regulations
- Robust analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Experience in financial services or corporate governance
