Social Service Community Facilitator Drummondville
Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay (CBHSSJB)
Join the effort in community development as a Social Service Community Facilitator. This role focuses on identifying needs and implementing effective action programs within the Cree territory.
Candidates must possess a diploma in social work or a similar field, with knowledge of community health and social issues. Communication skills and the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams are vital. Familiarity with Cree culture greatly enhances program impact.
Key Responsibilities Assess and address community needs with resource programs
Serve as an expert for community groups
Communicate effectively with diverse community members
Work collaboratively with healthcare and social service professionals
Provide crisis counseling and establish support relationships
Requirements Diploma in social work or relevant specialization
Fluency in Cree and English; French is beneficial
Familiarity with local social and health issues
1 year of human service experience is an asset
Solid counseling and crisis management skills
