Enhance cultural engagement at Queen’s University as the Cultural Engagement Facilitator in Indigenous Education. This role focuses on supporting Indigenous teacher candidates through mentorship and community relationship building. In your role as an Indigenous Programs Facilitator, you will facilitate programs that advance reconciliation and Indigenization within the Faculty of Education. You will provide comprehensive support to students in ITEP and WISE, ensuring they receive culturally responsive education and resources. Collaboration with faculty and community partners will be essential in promoting Indigenous teachings and values. Key Responsibilities

Offer mentorship and advocacy for Indigenous students Organize and support cultural and ceremonial events Conduct workshops to improve cultural capacity and education Serve as a communication hub for coordinated program support Represent Indigenous programs at various university events Requirements

University degree with a minimum of 5 years in Indigenous community services Deep understanding of Indigenous cultures and traditions Robust mentoring and organizational skills Knowledge of Indigenous holistic health practices Commitment to community partnership and engagement Contribute to an inclusive educational workplace and promote Indigenous perspectives within Queen’s University.
