Metrolinx Health and Safety Manager Role
Metrolinx
Lead safety initiatives with Metrolinx as a Health and Safety Project Manager in the Rapid Transit Program. Ensure workforce safety and mitigate risks for successful project completion. As a key Project Manager, you will oversee safety programs throughout all project stages. Collaborate effectively with Project Delivery Teams and the Corporate Safety Team to support robust construction safety management plans. Your leadership will be crucial in identifying safety risks and enhancing measures on the ground. Key Responsibilities:
- Promote a safety culture through training and site engagement
- Analyze construction activities for safety prioritization
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance with safety practices
- Execute thorough site inspections on contractor safety
- Advise on improvements to health and safety plans
- Degree in Safety, Engineering, or a related field
- Extensive experience in transit infrastructure safety
- CRSP, CSP, or CHST designation preferred
- Valid Ontario Class 'G' driver's license
- Strong communication and relationship management skills
