Lead construction safety initiatives with Metrolinx as a Project Manager in the Rapid Transit Program. Oversee safety programs and mitigate risks to ensure project success and workforce safety.
In the role of Health and Safety Project Manager, you will provide oversight for safety programs within all project phases. Collaborating closely with Project Delivery Teams and the Corporate Safety Team, you will support construction safety management plans. Your expertise will help identify safety risks and enhance safety measures on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote a safety culture through ongoing training and engagement tours
- Analyze construction activities and prioritize safety in project coordination
- Conduct formal audits of safety practices for compliance
- Execute site inspections to assess safety practices of contractors
- Advise on improvements to construction health and safety plans
Requirements
- Degree in Safety, Engineering, or related field
- Significant experience in transit infrastructure safety and compliance
- CRSP, CSP, or CHST designation preferred
- Valid Ontario Class 'G' driver's license
- Solid communication and relationship management skills
