Senior Claims Learning Coach- Property (Edmonton)

About the Role

As a Senior Claims Learning Coach, you will support content curation, training delivery, and coaching of complex claims to develop talent and proficiency with the Property team. You will work closely with the Claims Learning and Development Team, leaders and colleagues on the delivery of an impactful learner experience contributing to exceptional client service, goal achievement and employee development. Responsibilities

Partner with Claims Learning to co‑facilitate and/or participate in training and workshops where the complexity of content requires subject‑matter expertise. Lead the evaluation of learners through training assessments, observation and feedback sessions, ensuring foundational learning transfer and supporting the transition to business as usual. Provide coaching to learners through ambiguous situations to drive autonomous decision‑making and resolve complex claims. Deliver exceptional client service in accordance with claims service and quality standards during phone and/or field interactions. Partner with leaders, learners and Claims Learning to determine critical areas requiring learning resources and skills development and provide feedback to Technical Supervisors during the learning phase. Qualifications

Two years of coaching or supervisory experience with demonstrated ability to mentor, coach and contribute to the learning and development of staff. Minimum five years of discipline‑specific experience in claims. Commercial and farm experience is an asset. Post‑secondary education in Insurance and Risk Management or related field. Working towards or holding the Chartered Insurance Professional designation. Working towards or holding the provincial adjuster license. Expert knowledge of policy wordings, legislation, regulations and comprehensive knowledge of insurance policies. Ability to interpret and explain complex situations and concepts using clear, precise language to drive effective knowledge and skill transfer. Experience with manual reserving processes and guidelines. Skills

Compensation

Salary information: Expected Salary range: \$72,000 to \$121,000. The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co‑operators in its discretion and will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job‑related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education. Employees may also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn additional compensation tied to individual and/or business performance, or other business metrics.
