A total of 8 years of mine engineering, planning, or operations experience is essential. The role emphasizes safety, ethical operations, and long-term resource management through strategic optimization of mine plans, schedules, and production forecasts.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead mine plan development and optimization
- Provide technical guidance on mining rates and equipment
- Align schedules with regulatory and business objectives
- Prepare visualizations and presentations for stakeholders
- Mentor and coach junior staff in planning processes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mining, Civil or Geological Engineering
- Skilled Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility
- 8 years of relevant mine engineering experience
- Proficiency in analytical and problem-solving skills
- Oil sands planning experience preferred
