As the Postdoctoral Fellow Administrator, you will provide crucial support to the UVic community, from faculty members to PDFs. This role includes onboarding new PDFs and offering assistance in various inquiries, ensuring they receive the resources needed for success. Communication skills and cultural sensitivity are vital to foster effective relationships for diverse stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as the first point of contact for PDFs and staff
• Organize and conduct career development training
• Facilitate recruitment processes for PDF positions
• Manage funding initiatives related to PDF research
• Analyze information to assist in decision-making processes Requirements:
• Graduate degree and three years of relevant work
• Strong understanding of human resource policies
• Excellent interpersonal and conflict management skills
• Proven experience advising on operational processes
• Ability to maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information Support the University of Victoria's mission by empowering Postdoctoral Fellows through effective administration and strategic resource management.
