Psychosocial Oncology Clinician at Cancer Care Manitoba

Support oncology patients with equitable care as a Psychosocial Oncology Clinician II at Cancer Care Manitoba. This role provides culturally safe consultation and intervention for patients facing systemic barriers. In this position, you will perform psychosocial assessment and intervention for pediatric and adult oncology patients and their families. Your focus will be on delivering culturally safe care, addressing social factors affecting health, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. Join us in creating a welcoming environment that acknowledges historical traumas in health care. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide psychosocial consultation and assessment for oncology patients
• Deliver trauma-informed care focusing on equity and culture
• Collaborate effectively with the oncology care team
• Contribute to departmental education and research initiatives
• Assist patients overcoming barriers to access cancer care Requirements:
• Master's degree in Social Work or related field
• Minimum three years of clinical counselling experience
• Knowledge of systemic racism and its impacts on health
• Experience with Indigenous communities preferred
• Commitment to culturally safe care practices Utilize your expertise in clinical intervention to enhance the well-being of cancer patients in Manitoba.
