Psychosocial Counsellor at Southern Health-Santé Sud

Contribute to mental wellness as a Community Mental Health Worker with Southern Health-Santé Sud in St. Pierre-Jolys. This in-person role focuses on assessments, counselling, and rehabilitation for adults. In the MHA St. Pierre Jolys site, you will work as a clinician, delivering evidence-informed counselling and psychosocial interventions. The position emphasizes applying therapeutic skills to assist individuals and families in maximizing independence and achieving personal wellness. This community-focused role includes case management for those facing enduring mental illness, addressing functional assessments, and relapse prevention strategies. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide psychosocial assessments for referred individuals
• Deliver evidence-based counselling interventions and rehabilitation
• Collaborate within an integrated team approach
• Focus on crisis management and suicide intervention
• Engage in ongoing education and professional competency Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in evidence-based therapy
• Training in trauma-informed care and CBT/DBT
• Experience with adults facing serious mental illnesses
• Active license to practice in relevant profession
• Certificate in Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Utilize your advanced mental health assessment skills to enhance community integration through Southern Health-Santé Sud.
