Commercial Account Executive - Southern Alberta (Edmonton)

Job Overview This is a 100% commissioned role with no limit to earnings potential. Candidates manage their own book and receive compensation based on new business sales, policy renewals, and a growth bonus on the book. Commission is paid as a bi‑weekly draw against commissions earned and reconciled annually, with a guaranteed draw available for a specified timeframe during the initial period.
About the role We are seeking an experienced Account Executive to join our growing Commercial team in Southern Alberta. The role is hybrid and requires travel in and out of town.
Responsibilities Sell commercial insurance policies, develop and maintain a prospect list.
Build and maintain excellent customer relationships, visit customer sites and support customers with the claims process.
Keep abreast of market knowledge, products, pricing issues and opportunities.
Prepare proposals and arrange account placement with insurance carriers.
Gather and document relevant information to ensure the customer receives the appropriate coverage and service.
Maintain good quality in the book of business by adhering to underwriting rules and good business practices.
Arrange payment terms for new business sales and timely collection of payments.
Qualifications Minimum 5 years’ commercial P&C insurance sales experience.
Valid Alberta Driver’s License.
AIC Level I or II General Insurance License.
Ideally hold one or more of CIP, FCIP, CAIB, or CCIB.
Exposure to Epic is an asset and proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities successfully.
Excellent customer service and sales skills.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
