Enhance your expertise as a Radiation Therapist at the Jack Ady Cancer Centre in Lethbridge, Alberta. Collaborate in a multidisciplinary team to provide essential patient care with a focus on safety and compassion. As part of the smaller Radiation Therapy department, you’ll work closely with a Radiation Oncologist to deliver accurate radiation treatments. The role demands assessment of patient reactions, detailed record-keeping, and educating patients on their treatment options. This is a chance to make a significant impact in patient care. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver prescribed radiation therapy treatments to patients
- Assist in the precise planning of care procedures
- Thoroughly document all patient treatment plans
- Educate patients regarding procedures and potential side effects
- Refer patients to other healthcare providers as necessary
- Completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy program
- Registration with Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to safely lift and transfer patients
- Strong communication and patient-centered care skills
