Mental Health Substance Use Clinician Role

Take on a relief full-time role as a Mental Health Substance Use Counselling & Treatment Clinician in Vernon, B.C. Use your exceptional CBT and DBT skills to transform lives. This position aims at therapeutic counselling, particularly for clients with complex needs related to mental health and substance use. We seek a counselor with a Master's degree and two years of recent experience in the field. You will assess clients comprehensively, create effective treatment strategies, and manage transitions between care levels to ensure continuity of service. Your interventions will play a crucial role in the recovery journey of individuals. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide full bio/psycho/social services on recovery
• Coordinate access to specialized mental health services
• Document client care and treatment plans meticulously
• Collaborate with community agencies to enhance services
• Engage in educational programs for professional development Requirements:
• Relevant Master's degree in Allied Health or Social Science
• Two years of mental health and substance use experience
• Valid B.C. driver’s license (Class 5)
• Proficiency in CBT and DBT techniques
