TekStaff's Client has a current vacancy for "Compliance Analyst"
Job Description
Typical Day in Role:
• Review existing regulatory requirements in the Regulatory Library, validate accuracy and completeness of the requirement details vs. the official source.
• Reasonably review and challenge other mandatory fields, such as prioritization of the regulation, whether the regulation is local vs. extraterritorial, appropriateness of the business units and/or control & support functions tagged to the requirements, and whether the key controls mapped are effectively mitigating the regulatory compliance risk of the requirements. In some cases, self-serve AI tools are available to help with the review.
• Work with key stakeholders to discuss identified gaps and observations, resolve the gaps where appropriate, or work with action owners to raise an issue to resolve the gaps.
• Track progress of the review and provide periodic reports to management.
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1) 5 years of experience as a Compliance Analyst with proven experience with reviewing regulatory changes and developments. Strong understanding of regulatory obligations and controls is required.
2) 5+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, preferably within the Capital Market industry and Regulatory Library knowledge.
3) 5+ years of proven experience with a demonstrated understanding of regulatory requirements (specifically for Canada, Ireland, United Kingdom and United States) and ability to identify potential gaps precisely.
4) Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating with and managing multiple stakeholders
5) Work experience in IBM OpenPages and Power BI dashboards is preferred.
Nice-To-Have Skills:
- Regulatory requirements knowledge for China, Japan and Singapore is an asset
- Previous experience with Top 5 banks / FI within regulatory compliance space is very nice to have
- Strong experience with MS Office Suite with proficiency in Advanced Excel
