Role Technical Support Analyst – Markham, ON
Overview Computer Talk is seeking a Technical Support Analyst to multi‑task on virtually all elements of customer service business processes, including implementing solutions that meet customer requirements, handling technical support issues, and traveling to customers to install, troubleshoot, and support our complete product line.
Responsibilities Implement solutions that meet customer requirements and support daily operations.
Handle technical support issues and troubleshoot on site and remotely.
Install, troubleshoot, and maintain hardware and software for customers.
Support day‑to‑day maintenance on servers, including system backups.
Administer Windows 2000 and 2003 servers, deployment, and performance tuning.
Configure and maintain Cisco firewalls, routers, and switches.
Respond to customer communications (email, phone, fax) in a timely manner.
Escalate issues when appropriate and monitor system notifications to ensure all processes are working properly.
Participate in an after‑hours pager rotation and may be required to work after hours from time to time.
Qualifications Degree from a top Canadian university.
2–3 years of experience in a technical support environment.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Superior technical analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Help desk and trouble ticket resolution experience.
Strong customer focus and excellent phone manners.
Project document administration skills.
Experience with Windows server administration and performance tuning.
Experience configuring and managing Cisco firewalls, routers, and switches.
Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
