Inside Sales Engineer

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Inside Sales Engineer to join our growing team in Vancouver, BC. This role combines technical sales support, project coordination, and customer service within the commercial HVAC industry.

The successful candidate will work closely with engineers, contractors, consultants, and internal teams to support projects from initial design through quotation, submittal, order entry, and project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project drawings, specifications, and HVAC schedules.
• Prepare product selections, take-offs, and technical quotations.
• Provide technical support to consulting engineers, contractors, and customers.
• Coordinate project submittals and respond to technical inquiries.
• Process and manage customer orders through internal systems.
• Follow projects through various stages, including quotation, order placement, and delivery coordination.
• Work with external sales representatives to support project opportunities and customer relationships.
• Maintain accurate project records and documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and customer service teams to support project success.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Building Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• Previous experience in HVAC, hydronics, mechanical systems, building products, or technical sales is preferred.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Strong computer skills and the ability to learn and work within multiple software platforms and internal systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Experience with Bluebeam and Adobe Acrobat Pro is considered an asset.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be legally permitted to work in Canada

Assets

• French language skills are a strong asset .
• This role will operate during EST hours. Flexibility to start work early in the morning when required is a strong asset.
• Experience preparing HVAC equipment quotations and submittals.
• Familiarity with hydronic heating and cooling systems.
• Knowledge of commercial construction and consulting engineering processes.
