Strategic Procurement Director Role

Transform procurement strategies as a Director focused on optimization. Drive vendor relations, implement analytics for decision-making, and manage inventory practices to better serve customers. This pivotal role will see you working with the senior management team to develop KPIs and budgets while leading a dedicated procurement team. You will focus on guiding category managers and collaborating with logistics to enhance product shipping strategies and inventory management. Your expertise in negotiations will also be crucial for contracts with vendors to meet business needs effectively. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing strategic plans and KPIs
- Lead and support the procurement team's initiatives
- Analyze purchasing trends for informed decision-making
- Ensure category managers have aligned planograms
- Collaborate with logistics on inventory strategies
- 7+ years' experience in procurement or supply chain
- Relevant post-secondary degree required
- Extensive experience in strategic sourcing
- Strong analytical skills for data-driven decisions
- Demonstrated leadership and relationship management skills
