Procurement Specialist

About The Role

The primary function of this position is to place Purchase Orders and manage supply dates to support the IMAX manufacturing schedule and service requirements. This position will ensure that all required materials are on order and delivered on time. Create Purchase Orders based on manufacturing schedule, MRP demand and Purchase Requisitions. Contact suppliers to confirm delivery dates and negotiate improved dates as required. Update and maintain accurate product delivery dates in the MRP system. Build effective business relationships and follow up with suppliers on past‑due orders. Assist in developing and negotiating supplier agreements. Develop and implement cost reduction strategies. Help resolve any receiving, payment or supplier paperwork issues. Work closely with other team members and colleagues to ensure on‑time delivery and quality of products. What We’re Looking For

Post‑secondary diploma or degree in a related discipline (materials management, supply chain, business, engineering). Industry certifications considered an asset (SCMP, CSCMP, CPIM, CSCP, CCLP, etc.). Minimum of 2‑5 years of supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment. MRP/ERP experience required (SAP preferred). Intermediate level MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). A strong team‑player with experience working in cross‑functional teams. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent problem analysis and resolution skills. The Ideal Candidate Will Have

New Role Hiring Range

$57,489.00 – $71,860.00 per year (final pay within this range will be determined based on experience, skills, internal equity, and geographic location of the role). Additional non‑discretionary compensation may apply where eligible.
