Property Code Enforcement Officer Ontario

Join the team as a Property Code Enforcement Officer in various Ontario locations, ensuring adherence to building codes and regulations. Engage with the community while addressing compliance and safety standards. As a Code Enforcement Officer, you will play a vital role in inspecting properties for compliance with local codes and zoning regulations. This position requires investigating reports of violations, documenting findings, and executing enforcement actions. You will also issue citations, conduct follow-up inspections, and prepare detailed reports. Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect properties for compliance with local maintenance and zoning codes
- Investigate reported code violations and document evidence
- Issue citations and notices of violation to property owners
- Conduct follow-ups to ensure compliance with corrective measures
- Collaborate with municipal departments to resolve enforcement issues
- Knowledge of local building codes and zoning regulations
- Strong analytical and report writing skills
- Excellent communication abilities with the public
- Experience in property inspections or enforcement
- Ability to stay updated on industry best practices
