Become a pivotal team member as a Bilingual Senior Group Underwriter with Medavie Blue Cross. Engage in collaborative pricing strategies and shape the group's financial direction. In this permanent role, you will leverage significant expertise in group insurance pricing, from establishing proposal pricing to managing renewals and benefit changes. Your contributions will include drafting financial agreements, negotiating with advisors, and mentoring junior staff. You will work in a dynamic environment, ensuring all tasks align with Medavie’s values of caring and innovation. Key Responsibilities:
- Establish pricing during proposal and renewal processes
- Draft financial agreements and prepare necessary reports
- Negotiate files with group insurance advisors
- Provide ongoing technical support to teams
- Train junior and intermediate underwriters
- Minimum 10 years experience in group insurance pricing
- Bilingual in French and English
- Degree in business or related field
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Excellent organizational and negotiation skills
