Job Responsibility:
Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service and restaurant management, with a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes and exceptional dining experiences. As a Chef, you will oversee kitchen operations, manage food preparation, and ensure adherence to food safety standards while fostering a positive work environment for kitchen staff.
Responsibilities
Oversee the activities of cooks, and other kitchen workers.
Prepare and cook a variety of Italian dishes for banquets and events.
Contribute to the development of Italian-inspired banquet menus.
Ensure the quality of food, its presentation, and adherence to food safety standards.
Assist with purchasing, receiving, and storing food items.
Motivate and manage kitchen staff, ensuring efficient and effective teamwork.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, following proper food handling procedures.
Monitor food costs and labor costs to stay within budget.
Effectively communicate with staff, management, and clients regarding food preparation and event details.
Be able to adjust to the demands of high-volume catering and banquet events.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of food service operations within a restaurant setting.
- Proficiency in various cooking techniques and cuisines.
- Experience in supervising kitchen staff and managing team dynamics effectively.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
- Creativity in menu development and presentation of dishes.
- A passion for the culinary arts and commitment to continuous learning in the food industry.
