At 255 By Alta Rossa Restaurant our kitchen is the heart of the house. We take pride in serving high quality, authentic Italian dishes at a rapid pace. We are seeking a reliable, skilled Line Cook who thrives under pressure and takes pride in culinary consistency.
What You'll Do:
- Station Management: Set up, stock, and manage your designated station (Pasta, Grill, Sauté, or Pizza).
- Execution: Prepare and cook menu items exactly to recipe specifications and presentation standards.
- Speed & Accuracy: Handle high ticket volumes during peak lunch and dinner rushes without sacrificing quality.
- Safety: Maintain a spotless, organized workspace adhering to Ontario food safety and sanitation laws.
- Inventory: Monitor food rotation (FIFO) and alert the Chef to any inventory shortages.
What You Bring:
- Experience: 3+ years of line cook experience, preferably in an Italian or high-volume casual kitchen.
- Skills: Strong knife skills and the ability to work confidently with high-heat equipment.
- Certification: Food Handler Certificate is highly preferred.
- Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and work efficiently in a hot, fast-paced environment.
- Reliability: Punctual team player with open availability for evening and weekend shifts.
