We are looking for an experienced and passionate Pizza Cook / Pizzaiolo to join our team at a busy, fast-paced Italian restaurant .
The ideal candidate takes pride in preparing high-quality pizzas, works well under pressure, and enjoys being part of a professional kitchen team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook authentic Italian style pizzas to restaurant standards
- Prepare pizza dough, sauces, toppings, and other ingredients
- Stretch, shape, and top pizzas efficiently and consistently
- Operate and maintain pizza ovens safely
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure quality
- Keep the pizza station clean, organized, and properly stocked
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and kitchen procedures
- Work efficiently during busy service periods
- Communicate and work effectively with the kitchen and front of house teams
- Assist with other kitchen duties as required
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Pizzaiolo, Pizza Cook, or Line Cook is preferred
- Experience working in a high volume, fast paced restaurant environment
- Knowledge of pizza preparation, dough handling, and oven operation
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure
- Reliable, punctual, and a positive team player
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move kitchen supplies
- Food Handler Certification is an asset
