Director, Applied Data and Intelligence
On behalf of our client, Procom is searching for a Director, Applied Data and Intelligence for a permanent role.
This position is a remote role, allowing work from home anywhere in Canada.
Job Description
The Director, Applied Data and Intelligence will lead analytics efforts to combat insurance fraud.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a product analytics roadmap aligning with organizational goals
- Lead a team of data professionals to uncover business opportunities and inform strategy
- Evaluate and recommend improvements in data technologies for fraud detection
- Assess and test AI technologies, focusing on business value and strategic fit
- Identify and drive high-impact AI use cases to advance products and services
- Translate strategic objectives into AI solution requirements
- Collaborate with technical teams for successful AI model deployment
- Prioritize high-impact data insights for measurable business outcomes
- Oversee major data initiatives from ideation to deployment
- Stay current on emerging AI, analytics, and data science trends
Mandatory Skills
- University degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
- 10+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or data engineering with leadership experience
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and technologies, including Python and machine learning frameworks
- Experience with AI/ML platforms, OCR technologies, and fraud detection solutions
- Deep understanding of AWS cloud services and analytics infrastructure at scale
- Proven track record in implementing AI and analytics solutions in high‑tech environments
- Excellent communication skills to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders
Nice‑to‑Have Skills
- Experience in graph and network analysis
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strategic and tactical execution ability
- Robust organizational planning and results‑oriented work ethic
- Experience in scaling data infrastructure and insights
- Ability to evaluate complex project risks and issues
Assignment Details
Assignment Length: Permanent position.
Start Date: ASAP.
Assignment Location: Remote, Canada-wide.
