Overview:

Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Calgary office is actively hiring for Tax Interns (Income Tax and Property Tax) to join the team. This position reports to the Manager, Tax Reporting and Forecasting or the Manager, Property Tax in the Tax Service Unit (TSU), part of Pembina’s Financial Services division.

The Tax Service Unit contributes to the development of long-term global growth strategies, acting as proactive partners who are sought out for our expertise when making business decisions. By effectively identifying, assessing, communicating and managing tax risks and opportunities, the Tax team is a trusted business partner creating and protecting shareholder value in a globally compliant tax framework.

This posting covers multiple intern opportunities within the Tax Service Unit, including Income Tax and Property Tax. One application is considered for all available tax intern positions, and successful candidates will be matched to the opportunity that best fits their skills and interests. These are full-time, Monday to Friday positions based out of Pembina's Calgary office for the full summer term (May to August 2027).

This is a 4-month contract position. The successful candidate must live within 100 km of Calgary, AB.

Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

• Perform role-specific responsibilities such as preparing Canadian federal and provincial income tax returns and other information returns, assisting with responses to federal and provincial income tax audits, and supporting the annual property tax payment process. This may also include participating in a project and presenting outcomes or learnings at the end of the term.
• Assist with tax-related projects, research, and other departmental priorities as assigned;
• Assist with maintaining schedules used to track tax pools and tax basis information;
• Support property tax data capture for project reporting, updating tax rates and municipal bylaw information, and capturing all statements into property tax software;
• Support day-to-day work and learning activities related to the team or function, using tools such as SAP, Microsoft Office, property tax software, Copilot/ChatGPT, and other applicable systems;
• Support Pembina’s safety culture of “Zero by Choice” by caring for yourself and others and following Pembina’s Life Saving Rules at all times;
• Demonstrate Pembina’s values by working in a manner that is Safe, Trustworthy, Respectful, Collaborative, and Entrepreneurial, recognizing that how results are achieved matters; and

Qualifications:

• Enrollment in a Business or Commerce post-secondary program, preferably with a major in Accounting or Finance, is considered an asset;
• Proven ability to accurately collect, assemble, and enter a large volume of data;
• Strong communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities;
• Must be a quick learner and self-motivated, with the ability to work under tight deadlines;
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is preferred;
• Currently enrolled in a post‑secondary program and returning to school following the end of the work term;
• Field of study aligned with, or providing relevant transferable skills for, the role applied for;
• Ability to commit to the full duration of the term and required schedule; must be available to work the entire term (May to August 2027); and
• Demonstrated reliability, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn in a structured environment, aligned with Pembina’s values and safety expectations. 

The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position. The final candidate will be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check. 

This position is scheduled to be posted until end of day: 10/07/2026. In rare circumstances, a position may be posted for less time if there has been significant interest in the role.
