Overview:

Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Calgary office is actively hiring an Intern position to join the NGL commercial & fundamentals team.  This position reports to the Head, NGL Commercial & Fundamentals, as part of Pembina’s Marketing & Strategy Division.

Pembina undertakes value-added commodity marketing activities including buying and selling products (natural gas, ethane, propane, butane, condensate and crude oil) and capitalizing on arbitrage opportunities. By contracting capacity on Pembina's and various third-party pipelines and utilizing the Company's rail fleet and rail logistics capabilities, the Marketing business is able to add incremental value to commodities for Pembina and the WCSB. Marketing activities also include identifying commercial opportunities to further develop other Pembina assets.

This role offers hands-on learning opportunities, mentorship, and the chance to contribute to meaningful projects while building technical, analytical, and communication skills.

This position is offered as an 8 or 12 month contract, with flexibility available for eligible candidates. The successful candidate must live within 100 km of Calgary, AB.

Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

• Perform role-specific responsibilities as provided by the leader. This may also include participating in a project and presenting outcomes or learnings at the end of the term.
• Assist team members with administrative, operational, and project-related tasks.
• Support the collection, organization, and analysis of data and information.
• Conduct research and compile findings to support business initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete assigned projects.
• Support day-to-day work and learning activities related to the team or function, using tools such as (e.g. SAP, Microsoft Office, Copilot/ChatGPT, and other applicable system s);
• Support Pembina’s safety culture of “Zero by Choice” by caring for yourself and others and following Pembina’s Life Saving Rules at all times;
• Demonstrate Pembina’s values by working in a manner that is Safe, Trustworthy, Respectful, Collaborative, and Entrepreneurial, recognizing that how results are achieved matters; and
• Contribute to an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace by being gracious, kind, respectful, and working effectively with others.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated financial acumen or a strong interest in finance
• Programming skills are preferred but not required.
• Currently enrolled in a postsecondary program and returning to school following the end of the work term;
• Field of study aligned with, or providing relevant transferable skills for, the role applied for;
• Ability to commit to the full duration of the term and required schedule; and
• Demonstrated reliability, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn in a structured environment, aligned with Pembina’s values and safety expectations. 

The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position. The final candidate will be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check.
