Overview:

Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Calgary office is actively hiring for an Intern, Digital Strategy & Exploration to join the team. This position reports to the Executive Advisor in the Information Services Unit, part of Pembina’s Legal, People and External Affairs Division.

Pembina's Information Services Unit manages and maintains the company's infrastructure, provides technical support, ensures data security and accessibility, implements new technology, strategies for future development, manages vendors, and ensures compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Our focus is to collaborate with our customers and colleagues to land cutting edge technologies to help improve the way we work, maximize productivity, and reduce cost which in turn contribute to the environmental solutions that help with our climate change challenges. This position is part of the business exploration team and will be involved in exploration workshops, prototyping, and investigating novel approaches to solving business problems.

This is a 12-month contract position. The successful candidate must live within 100 km of Calgary, AB. 

Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

• Perform role‑specific responsibilities such as participating in business exploration workshops, supporting prototyping activities, and investigating novel approaches to solving business problems. This may also include participating in a project and presenting outcomes or learnings at the end of the term;
• Support day‑to‑day work and learning activities related to the team or function, using tools such as GitHub Copilot, Gemini, Claude, Microsoft Office, and other applicable systems;
• Support Pembina’s safety culture of “Zero by Choice” by caring for yourself and others and following Pembina’s Life Saving Rules at all times;
• Demonstrate Pembina’s values by working in a manner that is Safe, Trustworthy, Respectful, Collaborative, and Entrepreneurial, recognizing that how results are achieved matters; and
• Contribute to an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace by being gracious, kind, respectful, and working effectively with others.

Qualifications:

• Comfortable working in front of people, with strong communication skills and natural curiosity to solve problems. Experience solving business problems using AI platforms such as GitHub Copilot, Gemini, and Claude is essential;
• Currently enrolled in a post‑secondary program and returning to school following the end of the work term;
• A field of study aligned with the role or providing relevant transferable skills; students enrolled in business or engineering programs are preferred, though applicants from other relevant disciplines are encouraged to apply.
• Ability to commit to the full duration of the term and required schedule; and
• Demonstrated reliability, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn in a structured environment, aligned with Pembina’s values and safety expectations. 

 

The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position. The final candidate will be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check.
