Business Manager

A World Class Limousine , based in Waverley, Nova Scotia, is seeking a candidate to fill the position of BUSINESS MANAGER.

Core Responsibilities:  

• Financial/Accounting - including the supervision and direction of an accounting assistant using Quickbooks 2011. Duties include, but are not limited to, accounts receivable billing, collection and cash management.


• HR/Payroll - processing weekly payroll, adhering to all CRA rules/regulations, processing ROE's, hiring new employees, essentially completing all payroll and HR related tasks


• Scheduling - drivers and dispatchers


• Dispatching - covering dispatchers if needed (including late shifts from 4pm-11pm)


• Safety Reporting - Workers Compensation and other transportation related safety record keeping

Experience Requirements:

• Must have previous experience managing the accounting functions of a business (specifically AR/Payroll/Expense Management)


• Supervisory experience of at least 2 years


• Must have up-to-date knowledge of payroll regulations in Nova Scotia and the ability to apply them accordingly within the built-in payroll function in Quickbooks

Skills/Qualities: 

• Equitable customer service skills (to both employees and customers as you will be the final point of contact in most circumstances)


• Intermediate Excel skills (understand what a 'function' or 'formula' is and be able to demonstrate your knowledge of a few simple ones during the interview process)


• Comfortable working with and modifying PDF documents (merging, printing to and commenting)

Salary/Benefits: 

• CAD$30,000-$45,000, depending on experience


• 3 weeks vacation (15 business days)
