Director of Operations - Permanent

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Operations Officer II to join our Wealth Operations (WNO) team. This role is focused on providing high-level operational support for specialized transactions, specifically overseeing a range of portfolios related to income events, payments, and equity. This is a 5-month contract with a strong possibility for extension or permanent conversion, offering a clear path for professional growth within a premier financial institution.

Initial 3 months will be 100% onsite at our corporate office to facilitate training; Schedule: Monday to Friday, Core Business Hours.

Duration: 5 Months (Potential for extension and permanent conversion).

As an Operations Officer II, you will perform a broad range of general to specialized transactions for the WNO Operations function. This role involves high-volume data entry and operational analysis, contributing to projects that strengthen our operating model and elevate service quality. This backfill role offers a "foot in the door" with one of Canada's leading banks, with a clear possibility for permanent conversion.

Specialized Training: Benefit from an extensive 1–2 month training period designed to make you a subject matter expert in income events.

Strategic Exposure: Gain deep insight into the trade lifecycle and wealth management operations.

Income Event Management: Oversee and process a specific range of income events, ensuring all transactions are executed accurately and on schedule.

Manage payments and equity-related transactions, applying specialized knowledge of financial market products.

Data Integrity: Perform high-volume data entry and transaction processing with a focus on precision and audit-readiness.

Technical Troubleshooting: Utilize MS Office Suite and specialized banking platforms to fulfill requests and resolve processing discrepancies.

Analysis & Reporting

Performance Tracking: Contribute to analysis and reporting on critical projects or special initiatives to improve operational efficiency.

Prioritize and manage individual workloads to ensure all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met.

Risk Mitigation: Identify and escalate processing issues or potential risks to the Team Manager to ensure service quality is maintained.

Experience: 1–2 years of relevant experience in an administrative or operations role.

Proven knowledge and experience in Payments, Equity, and Financial Markets.

Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel).

Advanced Technical Skills: Knowledge of or experience with VBA is a significant asset.
