Inside Sales Representative/Showroom Sales

Responsibilities:

Provides the highest level possible of service to all customers with the main objective of serving our retail and walk in contractor, commercial and industrial customers

Answers telephone inquiries pleasantly and promptly

Provides customers with information on additional items related to purchases made

Maintains up-to-date knowledge of the products sold, product usage, product prices and new products on the market

Handle minor complaints with the objective of solving the problem

Listen to a customer’s complaint to find out what it will take to satisfy the customer

Complies with Company’s procedures on sales transactions, paperwork, refunds, credit memos, etc.

Maintains stock, displays and housekeeping for assigned areas

Assists supervisor, other employees as needed

Building Supply Sales: 2 years (Preferred)

Note: This is a 100% in office position for a building supplies distributor. I have a great relationship with this client and have placed multiple people with them. We have a 14-day payment term with them as well. This is part of a replacement search that the split partner that placed the candidate with us never did the replacement search so I am going to pay out of pocket to the partner that helps us find the replacement. Education

High School Diploma or GED

Experience

3 years’ experience in retail or contractor building material sales preferred

Skills

Ability to do math, read orders, follow instructions and complete forms

Ability to communicate with customers, other employees and supervisors using verbal and written skills

Knowledge and ability to use safe lifting techniques

Interpersonal skills

Good telephone etiquette
