Inside Sales and Application Engineer

Job Responsibility:
Provides in-depth technical information and support to distributors and/or end-users who require assistance with system design and technical hydraulics. Utilize technical knowledge to provide rapid, accurate and efficient answers to incoming inquiries. Position requires excellent time management skills to handle large volume of inquiries. Responsible for establishing accurate prioritization of work to provide timely answers to all customers. Creates and maintains Applications Engineering data base in conjunction with distributors to assist in promoting products. Maintain, review and analyze quotes data base to insure timely follow up and appropriate support as needed. Provides documents and records for non-catalog products. Coordinates production of same with appropriate departments and execute Sales Orders.
Visit customers on Site whenever required and offer technical assistance. Provide cross reference information for obsolete products upon request. Participates in meetings, seminars, and training sessions for distributors and Regional Managers.Research and offer recommendations regarding commercially available products that can enhance the sale or performance of currently offered products. Attends trade shows as required.
Qualifications/Requirements:
3-5 years of technical sales, product management, engineering or marketing as well as a Bachelor Degree. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers. Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Knowledge of MS Word processing software; MS Excel spreadsheet software contact management systems.
