This Cook position offers an opportunity to lead food preparation and service within the team at Extendicare. You’ll prepare meals in accordance with dietary needs and direct Dietary Aides in service activities. Your meticulous attention to food quality will be crucial for enriching residents' lives. Key Responsibilities:
- Review and set up for menu items and preparation
- Prepare nutritious meals according to specific diets
- Maintain food quality records and safety standards
- Guide Dietary Aides during meal times
- Manage daily operations in the Dietary Manager's absence
- Culinary training or related certification required
- Current Food Handler's Certificate needed
- “Red Seal” certification preferred
- Knowledge in food and nutrition management
- Willingness to support residents' dietary needs
