Become a vital part of Brookfield Properties as a Law Clerk specializing in Real Estate Leasing in Toronto. This full-time opportunity focuses on commercial leasing law. In this role, you will report to the Senior Vice President, Legal and contribute to the management and negotiation of leases for office and retail properties across Eastern Canada. Your duties will involve drafting, reviewing, and overseeing lease administration tasks to support Brookfield's legal and leasing initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and negotiate lease agreements and amendments
- Control electronic workflows using VTS for lease documents
- Communicate with tenants and legal partners effectively
- Support the supervision of junior assistants' work
- Manage lease documentation and administrative functions
- 4-5 years of commercial leasing experience
- Completed law clerk diploma or equivalent
- Excellent legal drafting and negotiation skills
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of Yardi and VTS beneficial
