About the Role 

We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Solar Sales Advisor to guide prospective customers through their transition to solar energy. 

You will educate customers, understand their energy needs, present customized solar solutions, and manage leads from the initial consultation through to a signed agreement. The ideal candidate combines strong sales ability with genuine consultative skills and can explain solar technology and financial benefits in a clear, relatable way. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Conduct virtual or in-person consultations with homeowners and businesses. 
• Understand customer energy needs and determine their suitability for solar. 
• Educate customers on solar technology, savings, financing, incentives, and long-term benefits. 
• Present customized solar proposals and system solutions. 
• Manage leads and follow-ups throughout the sales pipeline using the CRM. 
• Handle customer questions and objections professionally and confidently. 
• Maintain accurate customer information, activities, and sales opportunities in the CRM. 
• Meet individual sales targets and contribute to company revenue goals. 
• Work closely with design, operations, purchasing, and installation teams to ensure a smooth transition from sale to installation. 
• Stay informed about Canadian solar incentives, provincial programs, net metering, financing options, and industry developments. 
• Identify opportunities to improve sales processes, lead conversion, CRM usage, and the overall customer experience. 

Requirements 

• Proven experience in sales, consultative selling, business development, or customer-facing roles. 
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. 
• Ability to explain technical or financial concepts in a simple, customer-friendly way. 
• Strong follow-up, organization, and time-management skills. 
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment. 
• Comfortable using CRM and sales/proposal software. 
• Ability to manage multiple prospects and maintain a consistent sales pipeline. 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Experience in solar, renewable energy, home improvement, energy solutions, or other high-value products/services. 
• Knowledge of Canadian solar incentives, net metering, financing, and provincial programs. 
• Experience with Close CRM, SolarGraf, Aurora Solar, or similar platforms. 
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.   Remote Work and Schedule 

This is a fully remote position, working with Solar Power Store's team and customers across Canada. 

• Candidates must have a reliable internet connection, a professional home-office setup, and the ability to conduct virtual customer consultations. 
• The role requires regular availability during Canadian business hours to accommodate customer consultations, follow-ups, and team coordination. 
• The standard schedule is Monday to Friday, with working hours aligned primarily with Eastern Time (ET). 
• Some flexibility may be required for customer appointments outside standard business hours, including occasional evenings. 
• Candidates working from outside Canada must be able to consistently work the required Canadian hours. 
• Strong communication, responsiveness, time management, and the ability to work independently are essential in this remote environment.
