POSITION OVERVIEW The Commercial Credit Portfolio Manager is an individual collaborator who contributes to the updating of the Bank's loan portfolio by processing service requests and annual reviews required during the life cycle of a loan in financing. This individual contributor analyzes and recommends complex and advanced service requests. They support the business development team in developing effective solutions to meet client requests while complying with the Bank's policies and guidelines. CHALLENGES TO BE MET

• Follow up on outstanding issues in files in accordance with BDC's audit policies, processes and procedures by ensuring that forms and information are accurate and complete, conditions are met, and signatures are obtained.
• During the annual review, validate the profitability of the portfolio by monitoring the borrowing activities of the clients and identify additional opportunities (financing or advisory services) and be proactive to retain the existing clientele.
• Review financial statements, complete financial analysis and assess risk rating.
• Actively address situations where potential risks are identified, such as arrears, deteriorating risk and declining financial results.
• Assess high and advanced risk applications and propose proactive solutions to restructure agreements, minimize risk and mitigate losses in collaboration with credit, business centres and other internal colleagues.
• Authorize, deny or recommend service requests, within established parameters, and ensure a high level of analysis and due diligence for all loan amendments and service requests.
• Maintain relationships with business centre staff and colleagues to foster good teamwork, the pursuit of common goals and consistent application of policies.
• Coach, share experience and best practices with team members.
• Keep abreast of changes to detailed policies, procedures and processes, as well as credit and regulatory trends that may impact BDC.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or any field deemed relevant
• The CBV, CPA or CFA designation are considered interesting assets
• At least two years of commercial lending experience as an account manager, credit analyst or writer in the banking industry or any other experience deemed relevant
• In-depth knowledge of compliance procedures
• Good accounting knowledge and ability to analyze financial statements
• Ability to identify and resolve issues proactively and with good judgment while remaining concise
• Excellent ability to manage time and meet tight deadlines.
• Team-oriented attitude and excellent ability to adapt in a changing environment
• Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset
