Acute Care Registered Practical Nurse Role

Elevate patient care by becoming a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in an acute care setting at our facility. This role focuses on Urology, Otolaryngology, and General surgery, requiring strong teamwork and critical thinking skills.

As an RPN, you will operate independently within the interprofessional health care team while providing culturally sensitive care to diverse patient populations. Collaboration with Registered Nurses (RNs) is essential as you address complex health issues and implement evidence-based interventions.

Key Responsibilities: • Identify patient and family needs effectively • Conduct assessments and plan personalized care • Implement and evaluate evidence-based care procedures • Engage in quality improvement and ongoing professional development • Advocate for person-centred care and patient education

Requirements: • Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario • CPR certification from the Heart and Stroke Foundation • RPN diploma preferred with acute care experience • Critical-thinking and decision-making skills required • Strong interpersonal and teamwork capabilities
