Job Summary
Provide administrative support in a clinical setting, managing patient appointments, records, and communications. Work collaboratively with health care teams to ensure efficient office operations and high-quality patient service.

Main Duties
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments and manage clinicians calendars.
- Greet and register patients, collect and update demographic and health information.
- Maintain and update electronic medical records and paper files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Process billing, prepare invoices, submit insurance claims, and follow up on outstanding accounts.
- Answer, screen and triage incoming calls; coordinate referrals and communicate with patients and healthcare providers.
- Prepare reports, correspondence, and clinical documentation and provide general administrative support to clinical staff.
Requirements
- Secondary school diploma or equivalent.
- Post-secondary certificate or diploma in medical office administration, health administration, or a related field.
- Minimum one year of experience in a medical office, clinic, or similar health care setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and common office software (word processing, spreadsheets, email).
- Working knowledge of medical terminology, basic billing practices, and insurance claim procedures.
- Ability to handle confidential patient information and comply with privacy and record-keeping regulations.
