Manager, Transaction Accounting & Capital Market

The Opportunity

As Manager, you will be a professional member of our Advisory Services, Financial Accounting (SCCF) team. In Canada, our specialized SCCF team consists of financial information and advisory accounting professionals located across five offices. We possess technical accounting expertise in IFRS as well as Canadian and US GAAP, hands‑on experience with financial reporting processes, and in‑depth regulatory knowledge.

Your Main Responsibilities

As Manager, you will help finance leaders address the ongoing challenges and changes their business is facing, and manage the resulting impacts on the Accounting and Finance functions. You will work in partnership with them to help them reach their full potential, particularly in the context of acquisition, divestiture, restructuring/optimization, or accounting standards implementation and convergence projects. In addition, you will provide clients with innovative business advice and guide improvements to business processes. More specifically, you will be expected to:

• Plan and participate in a variety of engagements (research on the application of accounting standards to various transactions, assessment of financial and governance processes, support in transitioning to a new accounting framework, benchmarking practices across different organizations, designing customized training, etc.).
• Supervise certain members of the engagement team, delegate tasks, and review the work performed.

To Be Eligible for this Position, You Must Have:

• A degree in accounting or a major in a related field, along with at least 5 years of relevant experience, and a Canadian CPA designation or an equivalent credential.
• Experience in audit or in industry related to financial statement close processes or the application of accounting standards (or any other relevant experience).
• A strong commitment to delivering high‑quality work.
• A strong team‑player mindset.
• The ability to work independently in a dynamic, team‑oriented environment where things evolve quickly.
• The ability to speak, read, and write in both French and English.
