Identifies, assesses and monitors clients’ needs in conjunction with parents/caregivers and/or other service providers (e.g., CYMH Therapist, CMH Therapist, MCFD, school, etc.). Interviews clients and their parent(s)/caregiver(s) and other relevant/involved professionals to gather case history information. Identifies area of concern to be addressed by counselling. Assists therapists in carrying out, monitoring, and evaluating treatment relative to counselling support and education. Completes clinical assessments using a bio/psycho/social/spiritual approach and develops treatment plans in collaboration with the client. Develops and implements counselling plans and programs necessary to meet client goals and objectives. Provides individual and group counselling interventions using counselling techniques depending on client or family need. Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or Clinical Psychology Registered with BCASW, ICBOC, ACCT or CPCA Two years of related experience with responsibility for providing a range of community-based mental health services. The target hiring range for this position is $39.7452 to $51.471 per hour. Candidates will typically be hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the wage range. Placement within the wage range is dependent on the applicants' role specific knowledge, skills, abilities, related experience and in consideration of factors such as market conditions and internal equity.
