Be a vital part of the Central Island Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Program as a full-time Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. You'll develop innovative programs while supporting underserved areas through Telepsychiatry Outreach and direct consultations. CICAPP is seeking a full-time Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to enhance mental health services on Vancouver Island. This role involves developing Telepsychiatry Outreach and consulting with the Pediatric Ambulatory Care Service at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital. Other responsibilities include participating in a Mental Health Day Program for children and liaising for admitted youth at NRGH. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Telepsychiatry Outreach for remote communities
- Consult with Pediatric Ambulatory Care Service team
- Participate in a Mental Health Day Program for children
- Provide input for an Early Psychosis Intervention Program
- Collaborate with the local Child and Youth Mental Health Team
- Full medical license in psychiatry
- Experience in child and adolescent mental health
- Commitment to training medical students and residents
- Interest in participating in research activities
- Willingness to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
